Paresh Koli June 5, , 9: You should start revising what you have already read and do some recent years papers as well. Hello sir, Can u suggest if downloading dams subject wise books are good enough?

Concentrate on your UG exams and textbooks. Tanu February 17, , Hello sir. Paresh Koli February 18, , 9: Those are way to old according to me specially for rapidly changing subjects like Pharmacology and Medicine. You can read the same for other 1st and 2nd year subjects. Paresh Koli July 3, , 8: This is a very common question. I think subject wise books I have mentioned in this article should be enough for you.
All these books have theory before start of a chapter whic hhas enough content to answer the MCQs. If you do not understand any topic you can always go back to textbooks. Paresh Koli July 28, , 7: Aaron July 17, , 4: Paresh Koli January 26, , Sir iam finding difficult to read and understand some subjects like physiology, ophthalmology in across. Will arvind arora help me to overcome this difficulty? Reading a new book is only an option if you have enought time for that.
Premkumar July 22, , 1: Sir, whether 1 week period is enough for each short subjects like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry..? Please guide me about time allotment for each subjects sir …. Mohit Thareja August 15, , 5: Sir which book to refer for medicine. In mudit Khanna before mcqs synopsis is there and in Amit Ashish direct mcqs are given.
But I have heard that Amit Ashish content is more than mudit Khanna. Paresh Koli August 15, , 7: Anirudh August 19, , 2: Hello sir,I started my preperation since April with only mcqs from above mentioned books n was only able to complete anat, physio, biochem, micro, pharmac,fm,Ent n medicine.

Paresh Koli August 28, , 7: It should be done in 3 weeks max. No need to read theory books in and out. Instead revise the relevant theory part given in MCQ books like Arora.

Paresh Koli August 31, , 8: Paresh Koli September 2, , 1: You can wait for a latest version of Vivek Jain which might come out end of year I am not sure whether it will and go through the updates which are given on intitial few pages.
Anilkumar September 10, , 1: Paresh Koli September 10, , 9: Books I have marked as recommended are good. You should read those only. But I would not recommend reading MCQ books right now. You should concentrate on theory textbooks only according to me. Paresh Koli September 12, , 6: Paresh Koli September 20, , 4: Sir, I have been reading class notes and doing some mcqs from the corresponding subj wise guides as you mentioned.
But now when the exam is in 2 months I feel like kind of lost. And it seems very difficult to revise with the notes and subject wise books. Please help me out. Give me a strategy to revise..
Paresh Koli September 28, , 9: Do not start with a new book now. It is pointless and time-consuming. Just revise whatever you have already read. I think 2 months are more than enough to revise almost all the subjects. Do medicine in the end, as it is overlapping with many subjects and if you do not get enough time then you can even skip it. Thankyou sir. But to be precise, should I focus on doing more number of mcqs or repeatedly read classnotes.
Which wil be more productive for aipgmee? Pls advice sir. Paresh Koli September 28, , 2: Paresh Koli September 29, , Manisha Raj October 5, , 4: Which online test serieser dams or bhatiyabshould i join….

Should i have to do any question banks also? Paresh Koli October 20, , 7: Only revise things which you have already read.
Do not try to read new things or go to new books. Do as many revisions as possible and it will suffice. Ashik October 20, , 9: Ashik October 20, , Hello sir, I am preparing for Aipgmee sir. I have read subject wise mcqs books once. Finished now only, huge delay I know sir, should have finished at least two weeks ago.. Is doing mcqs from question banks like mudhit Khanna also essential? I have very little time give me a plan sir plz.. I am a slow learner.. I m in 2nd yr 3rd semester.. Should i prepare for pg in 2nd yr or its too early.. I m very focussed abt my carrer.. Which mcq book is best for mcqs of 1st yr syllabus plz also send me pdf link of tht book… Thnku. Paresh Koli October 22, , I do not recommend reading PG entrance books in the UG days. You should focus on reading the textbooks, it will give you more knowledge then reading MCQ books.
You can have a loof at MCQ books to get an idea about the type of questions asked in PG entrance exams. Paresh Koli October 31, , Anirudh November 5, , 2: Micro-rachana chaurasia? Ent-sakshi arora or Arvind arora? Ortho-Arvind arora or anurag mehra? Surgery-Amith Ashish or punith bhojani dis sir has only given mcqs n no theory before it Opthal-arvind arora?? OG-sakshi arora or punith bhojani? Thank you. Paresh Koli November 5, , Anirudh November 5, , 4: Anirudh November 6, , 2: Sir I started preparing only from September, giving 1st attempt.
Will revising this is sufficient for Aipgmee exam or subject wise study is necessary to crack in future? Or continue solving only these will do? Paresh Koli November 24, , 8: For the time limit you have, reading the mentioned books should be enough. If you are preparing for next years exam then you should preferably start subject wise reading. Sir please provide me guidelines for preparation of pgi chandigarh… I am preparing for may Paresh Koli November 29, , Otherwise subject wise books mentioned by me are enough.
Sir,i was preparing for usmle and cleared all the three steps.
Now i am planning to prepare for med pg. Is that possible?. Please help me. Paresh Koli December 4, , Anyways it is definitely possible, all you need to do is read subject wise books I have mentioned in this article. Paresh Koli December 5, , Well if you have enough time that you are confident with your knowledge of standard textbooks then you can go ahead and read MCQ books.
Anil jain December 29, , 5: Sir Hows Mudit khanna for medicine and Pritesh Singh for surgery?? Is it a good book and shld i download it? Patel January 13, , 5: Please also suggest mcq book for recent aiims papers as amit ashish not available for the same. Srishti January 17, , 7: Paresh Koli January 18, , 9: Asif January 21, , 1: Paresh Koli January 21, , Shruthi January 21, , 3: Patel January 26, , Paresh Koli January 27, , Paresh Koli January 28, , Vitashta January 30, , 9: Vitashta khadka January 30, , 9: Sir can we do double MD?
I hv completed MD patho last yr. Paresh Koli February 3, , Umr February 3, , 3: Sir i didnt study much during my mbbs…by luck i passed them.. Now i want to prepare for andhrapradesh pg, How should i make a start? Iam very weak with theory part text books I will be writing my pg exam in first quarter of Please give me a detailed plan..
Which subjects to start with and what follows them.. You still have lot oof time before you appear for the exams. Start subject wise books I have recommended in this article. You can start with 1st-year subjects and then go for 2nd-year ones.
Read subjects with high weightage in the exams 1st. You can leave Medicine and Surgery for the end. Umr February 4, , 2: Should i start with the reviews or texts?? I dont know the weightage of the subjects could you plz mention it.. If i should start with text books.. Sorry for troubling you much.. Paresh Koli February 4, , 2: You can start with the reviews snd refer to textbooks if you do not understand a certain topic. Anirudh February 7, , Paresh Koli February 7, , Sir…among non clinical branches which is good for PG…..
Pathology or Microbiology or forensic? Paresh Koli February 8, , 9: Totally depends on your interest. But Pathology is highly pursued branch. You can also consider Pharmacology if you want to enter into corporate world. Durga February 8, , I have not prepared for entrance exams during my ug days or internship and have just started reading…Is it possible to crack aipg….
Anirudh February 9, , 1: Akshata Patil February 14, , 9: Paresh Koli February 15, , 2: I think right now you should only concentrate on the standard textbooks. DO not shift your focus to MCQs. Reading theory well is enough to gain knowledge for answering the MCQs. Akshata Patil February 16, , 6: Anisha February 21, , 5: That was really really helpful! I am a 3rd minor student prefinal year and have started reading harrisons for medicine. But sometimes i feel its a waste of time reading everything.
Would you suggest readin it now? And if yes, which chapters or parts from Harrison nees due attention? And what shud be my approach in 3rd minor.
Should i complete medicine and some othee final year topic or just continue with psm ent ophtlm plus watever coaching notes they give?
Paresh Koli February 24, , 6: Along with those you can read Major subjects in details. Read main systems from Harrison. I gives it very nicely.
Paresh Koli February 24, , 7: You can definitely crack the PG medical entrance exams. Future can be bright if you work hard right now. Start subject wise books I have mentioned and make sure you get at least 2 revisions before going to final exam. You can refer standard textbooks if you do not understand a certain topic.
Keep confidence in yourself. And your scores are good. So all you need to do is just work hard. DrAnu February 23, , 6: Should I download different books for med surg and psm or one by AA with all 3 subjects wl b good…what is the difference between them. download different books. download Arvind Arora for Surgery. DrAnu February 25, , Nidhi February 25, , 9: Hello sir, I just passed my final year exams and about to begin internship from march..
Should I start with subject-wise revisions and download these books? Paresh Koli February 26, , Yes you should start subject wise. I think you still have enough time if you work hard enough. You should aim for at least one revision. RD February 29, , 6: Paresh Koli March 1, , 9: Hello dr koli…how about bhatia coaching notes wd mcq s from NBE based all india pattern pulse publication for aipg preparation.
Paresh Koli March 4, , 9: Ankita Nirpharake March 4, , 9: Hello Sir I am in final year now which book should I refer for surgery? Bailey SRB or Manipal? Also is AA enough for PG entrance? Pritesh Singh has a lot of extra matter? Is it necessary to know all that? Paresh Koli March 4, , If you have enough time read Bailey but for exams, you have to refer to Manipal only.
For PG entrance AA is enough according to me. I have not read Pritesh Singh so cannot comment on it. Ankita Nirpharake March 4, , Zafr Ain Khan March 5, , 2: PSM from Vivek Jain. OBG from Sakshi Arora. Pharmacology from DAMS notes. Also, is there any other book besides Platinum notes like Sure Success or ROAMS or any other of such kind that i must go with instead of Platinum notes for the subjects left behind?
Your opinion would matter a lot in my preparations. Paresh Koli March 6, , This is only March and you have covered almost half of the subjects. Shruthi March 11, , Sir I am having old edition subject wise books which has Harrison 18th edition , park 22nd and Robbins 8th edition as reference..
Should I download new books? Or can continue with older ones? Paresh Koli March 11, , 8: No need to download new books.
download recent year papers instead for years which are not covered in your books. Hello sir…is it possible to join for pg through aipg nd take a gap of 1 year and continue with the next pg batch? Paresh Koli March 14, , You can join the institute and ask for the permission of the HOD of your dept. If they allow you can definitely take a gap of 1 year. Sneha March 14, , 2: Sir my Aipg rank is I am very confused about wat to take…or shud I prepare again until June?
Otherwise Pathology. Pathology is a good branch if you are plaaning to open a diagnostic center or want to do DM In Oncopathology. DA is a very good branch and as good as MD anaesthesia. Sneha March 15, , 3: Thank you so much sir…sir can you please shed some light on scope after pathology? Apart from oncopathology Wat else can we do? Paresh Koli March 15, , Tajbir Singh March 15, , Sir i m searching for pg classes.. Paresh Koli March 15, , 9: Sorry, I have not attended either classes so cannot comment on it.
But personally I think more time you give to self-study will be more helpful for you. Paresh Koli March 18, , DNB people have to work for a year in a govt hospital to be eligible for such kind of posts. If you are getting DNB medicine, I think you should take it. Priyanka March 17, , 4: HI, I completed my mbbs 2 years ago. I took a regular bhatia classes during my intership from which i clearly dont remember anything. Then got married meanwhile did job for 5 months now starting with pg preparation.
I am doing subject wise study. Should i take online test series from bhatia or dams? Also i am confused whetehr only 7 days are suffient for a major subject or its me who is going slow. Pls reply ASAP! Paresh Koli March 19, , 7: I think you should take up online test series for practice. Give about weeks on it depending on the subject. Manchu Raj March 19, , 9: Books by dams or subject wise books as u mentioned..
Paresh Koli March 20, , 9: Thanks for the reply. Paresh Koli March 21, , Paresh Koli April 4, , Manchu Raj March 29, , 2: Triveni April 1, , 7: Drdang April 15, , 5: Amit ashish or mudit khanna for medicine and surgery. And aipgmee with prev year mcqs book by Amit arvind arora or mudit khanna? Paresh Koli April 16, , 5: Anirudh May 20, , Paresh Koli May 21, , Raj May 24, , Hi sir, I have collected my internship and I am preparing for entrance exams now.
Is it possible to complete all subjects if I start now? How can I go about preparing anatomy? Paresh Koli May 25, , You can complete all subjects but revisions will not be possible which is very important. Start with 1st-year subjects and then go to 2nd-year subjects and PSM. Skip Medicine in the end if necessary.
Raveena Singh May 24, , 6: Suhail May 27, , 6: Salute u for that. I found this forum very informative. I passed my final yr in March and am in the 3rd month of my internship. Started prep for aipg a few days back. Since aipg has been changed to neet, will there be any difference in the pattern of qns or a different approach toward studying? Can I Continue this or do I need to start with 1st year subs?
Last qn — Is classroom coaching TMCAA thrissur really needed or can I do the subject wise books along with bhatia test series and previous year papers? Paresh Koli May 27, , 9: Only UG entrance exams are.
But in future it will be. Preparation should not be different. Continue whatever you are already reading. Does not matter if you are shuffling the subjects as long as you are finishing all in time.
Subject wise books along with Bhatia is enough. Preeti Yadav June 2, , Sir I have joined Bhatiya classes and Iam reading Bhatiya subject wise books. Mcqs are almost same in both. Please help. Paresh Koli June 2, , 8: Sir i am very confused.. If i start in internship..
Paresh Koli June 18, , There is no need to start PG preparation right now. Concentrate on your final MBBS right now. Start preparing for PG exams as soon as your internship starts. You will then have more than enough time to read all MCQs books. Renu July 29, , Paresh Koli July 30, , 6: Books are not too different for PG medical entrance exams and others. You can go for Kalam if you want. Renu July 30, , 8: Please advise.
Paresh Koli July 30, , 8: Yes but I have not heard of any special book for FET preparation. You have to refer to PG entrance books only. And Kalam is especially for DNB. You even better if you directly refer to Subject specific PG medical entrance book for your speciality.
It should be more than sufficient. Renu July 30, , 6: Renu July 30, , Anirudh August 25, , Hello sir…For medicine Pg preparation wich book is recommended sir…Mudith khanna or devesh mishra sir book.. Paresh Koli August 25, , 3: Anirudh September 15, , 8: Nithin Gowda A V January 26, , 1: Dr Anirudh, I too have the same confusion.. Which book do you prefer Deepak marwah or mudit khanna?? Anirudh September 25, , 7: Sir for opthal, radiology, forensic and psychiatry edition Arvind Arora is good or subject speciality author books lik ruchi Rai for opthal, sumer Sethi for radiology, sumith Seth for forensic and Praveen Tripathi for psychiatry is good..
Paresh Koli October 1, , 9: Plz reply soon.. Anirudh September 25, , 9: If that is the case then may be you should go for latest version of the respective books for updated data. Sir i am studying in phillipines and will be completing my MBBS and will face MCI could you please suggst me the best ones for cracking the exam.
Paresh Koli October 14, , 2: Surgery Mcq Books For Aipgmee cj. Adwaya Das January 17, , 3: Paresh Koli January 17, , 9: Rahul Sharma February 5, , How are Dams handwritten notes? Someone told me they are very useful. Paresh Koli February 5, , If you have enough free time then go for regular classes otherwise, test and discussion should suffice.
Start the subject-wise books I have mentioned and make sure you are able to do at least 2 revisions of those books before the final exam. Arvind Arora for both subjects is a good option. Paresh Koli February 10, , 8: Light February 26, , 3: Paresh Koli March 3, , 6: As long as you are comfortable reading a book and you are understanding the concepts from it, it does not matter much which book it is.
But also remember that along with knowing the concepts, you are also supposed to clear the final exams which require some special preparation so that you will be able to write the papers. So it is fine to read the book of your liking. Paresh Koli March 5, , 9: Textbooks are enough. You can refer to CMDT if you want but do not read from too many sources, according to me. Lohith March 4, , 1: My plan is to read theory of 3rd year and simultaneously prepare 1st and 2nd year subjects for PG… what do you say sir?
Paresh Koli March 4, , 7: Focus on 3rd minor and final year subjects now. It will help you in your university exams as well. Paresh Koli March 8, , 9: But unfortunately i was not able to match this year. So i would like to start preparing for next pg. How much difficult is this exam.
I am from kerala. Please suggest me a good centre for preparation and a good postal course. Your reply will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Paresh Koli March 16, , 8: Thank for the reply sir. Both of them are conducting satellite classes. What is your opinion sir.
Suggest a postal course too. Paresh Koli March 17, , 7: SC March 19, , I just started my internship. I was wondering if I can just do the subject wise books according to the posting I am in. And do my first year and second year subjects later? Paresh Koli March 20, , 7: Focus on 1st and 2nd year subjects first as you have studied them many years back and also they have a high weightage. Pranay Hedaoo March 31, , 8: Hello I am a foreign medical graduate Am I eligible for neet-pg or any post graduate exam?
Paresh Koli March 31, , 8: Dr Priya Shakthi April 3, , 1: Hello sir, I have just started my pg preparation… short subjects by Arvind Arora is a good choice to prepare know sir? Or I have to go for individual ones.. Paresh Koli April 3, , 8: Gayatri April 4, , 4: Hi sir, it was pleasure and helpful watching your comments. I have graduated my M.
S five years back and now preparing for Neet pg. I have given AP pg in but did not get a better rank and now I am starting my preparation again. Could you please suggest me which books to read and it would be helpful if you give us a time-table. Please help on this. Paresh Koli April 4, , 8: Hi, books which I have marked as recommended are the once you should consider reading.
Also I have given number of weeks you should give to each subject. It should help you. Dr Priya Shakthi April 4, , 8: JKumar October 30, , 3: Dr Koli, I have just recently seen this website and find so much value in the discussions. I am in dilemma if should join DAMS or Bhatia, though I would like to avoid any of these so that can work on concepts, but feel that I should not waste an opportunity if there is merit in these classes.
I want your advise on the best course of action if should join these classes now, or if not , then what should be the strategy — standard text books and some online test series during 3rd and 4th years and then focus on subject MCQ books during the internship? Greatly appreciate. Thanks very much. Paresh Koli October 30, , 9: You should rather concentrate on the MBBS textbooks which will make your concepts better and then you can go for MCQs books in the internship.
Remember that majority of those MCQs are from books only. So clearing your concepts will make you a better doctor and will help you in cracking those exams as well. Mugging up MCQs are not much useful if your basic are not clear. You can still talk to your senior and take their opinion about the same.
JKumar October 30, , 2: Many Thanks. This shall be useful to know so that one could prepare for PG exam accordingly…maybe 1st attempt internship year more to familiarize and do internship well and so prepare essentially with 1 year margin for subsequent year? Or whether most good students get the seats in 1st attempt itself?
Paresh Koli October 30, , 3: And most of them are excellent students in UG days. So, for anyone else, it common to drop for a year to prepare for the exams. Rajendra Singh March 10, , Paresh Koli March 11, , 6: Praveen Kumar March 25, , Paresh Koli March 25, , 2: Dr Mahesh April 2, , Dear sir, Is Sure Success magic B Ramgopal , sufficient as revision notes along with subject wise mcq books recommend by you.
Because I have not enough time to make notes for revision due to busy schedule of my job.
